Scientifically Speaking has developed an extensive range of interactive science modules for students in grades Prep to 6. The lessons all align to the Australian curriculum and PYP and cover all areas of physical, chemical, biological, and earth and space science.
PRICING: 90-100 min incursion @ $15/student (minimum 20 students)

Space, the Final Frontier
SPACE - Planets, moons, meteorites, stars. Hands-on introduction to the Solar System, the Milky Way and the Universe!
We Will Rock You
GEOLOGY - Formation of the Earth and properties of rocks. Hands-on activities, demonstrations and discussions investigating different properties of rocks. Classification of sedimentary/igneous/metamorphic rocks. Make a fossil imprint to take home!
Material World
What are different MATERIALS used for and what are their properties? A series hands-on activities testing different material properties including; natural/processed, float/sink, magnetic/non-magnetic, conductor/insulator and more!
The Sound of Science
The science of SOUND. What is sound? Where is the only place we can’t hear sound? Hands-on activities and demonstrations exploring the properties of sound.
The Science of Music
The science of SOUND through MUSIC. Hands-on activities and demonstrations investigating the difference between noise & sound. How musical instruments make different sounds. The children finish this workshop with a musical performance!
Light Speed
The science of LIGHT. What is light? What things generate their own light? Hands-on activities and demonstrations investigating properties of light. How do we view the world? How do other animal species view the world?
Light and sound combined
A special workshop which combines elements of the LIGHT & SOUND workshops. Hands-on activities and demonstrations investigating differences & similarities between light & sound.
What’s the Matter?
Investigate properties of MATTER (solids, liquids and gases). How does matter change from one state to another? Hands-on activities, demonstrations and discussions to explore and understand different states of matter.
Chemical Attraction
What are CHEMICALS? Where do we find chemicals? What happens if we mix chemicals together? Hands-on activities, demonstrations and discussions to test and understand different chemical properties.
Water World
Examine how WATER moves around the Earth in the Water Cycle. Hands-on activities investigating evaporation, condensation, precipitation & erosion.
May the Force be with You
What are FORCES? How do forces act on solids, liquids and gases? What are contact and non-contact forces? Hands-on activities and demonstrations exploring forces.
Living or non-living?
This incursion investigate the science of LIVING THINGS. If something moves, it is alive? What about water? It moves but is it alive. Hands-on activities, demonstrations and discussions to understand how to classify things that are living, once lived and never lived.
